Terms and Conditions
Welcome to RJC Audio. By engaging in our audio mixing and/or mastering services, you (“the Client”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before commencing any project.
1. Services Offered
RJC Audio provides professional online audio mixing and mastering services. The scope of work will be defined and agreed upon before any work begins, typically via written communication (e.g. email or invoice).
2. Delivery and Turnaround
Turnaround time is typically 5 business days from the date all project materials (audio stems, reference tracks) and payment are received, unless a rush delivery or alternative timeline has been mutually agreed in writing.
3. Revisions
- First Mix Free: Includes up to 3 rounds of revisions on the demo snippet.
- Pro Mix: Includes up to 3 rounds of mix revisions via the Samply platform.
- Elite Mix: Includes unlimited mix revisions until client satisfaction.
Revisions apply to level adjustments, EQ/compression modifications, effect tweaks, and minor timing changes. Re-recording replacement tracks or radical arrangement overhauls after mixing has commenced may incur additional stem-handling fees.
4. Payments and Refunds
Payment is required upfront unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Accepted payment methods include Stripe (Credit/Debit Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal.
Due to the custom digital nature of audio mixing and production services, all sales are final once mixing has commenced. Refunds are issued solely at RJC Audio’s discretion in instances where no significant work has started.
5. Client Responsibilities
The Client must provide high-quality, unclipped audio files in 24-bit (or 16-bit) WAV format, exported from time zero (0:00). It is the Client’s sole responsibility to ensure all materials are properly labeled, organized, and free of legal encumbrances or third-party copyright claims.
6. Rights and Ownership
The Client retains 100% full ownership, publishing, and master copyright of their musical recordings and songs.
RJC Audio retains the non-exclusive right to showcase excerpts of the final mix for online portfolio, reel, or promotional purposes, unless the Client explicitly requests in writing prior to release that the work remain private or under embargo.
7. Confidentiality
All unreleased stems, lyric sheets, demos, and project communications are treated as strictly confidential and will never be shared with third parties without the Client’s express permission.
8. Liability
RJC Audio is not liable for any loss, corruption, or hardware failure of audio files once delivered. The Client is strongly advised to maintain redundant offline backups of all original multitrack files and delivered mixes.
9. UK GDPR Compliance
In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), any personal details collected (such as name and email address) are processed securely and lawfully. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
